The Leibniz Institute of Ecological and Regional Development in Dresden is committed to protecting your data. We treat all personal data as confidential; in particular, we observe relevant data protection laws as well as the provisions in this data protection notice.

In general, our website can be used without providing any personal data. In cases where you are asked to provide personal data such as your name, address or email address, this will be on a voluntary basis as far as possible. Registration and contact forms

For registrations and enquiries we use the form service JotForm. The provider is JotForm Inc., 111 Pine St. Suite 1815, San Francisco, CA 94111, USA. All data submitted via forms (e.g. name, email address, contact details) is processed exclusively on servers located within the European Union. No personal data is transferred to third countries. A data processing agreement in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR has been concluded with JotForm. Submitted data is used solely for processing the respective enquiry and will not be passed on to third parties without your consent. Newsletter data

If you wish to subscribe to the newsletter offered on this website then we require an email address from you as well as information that allows us to confirm that you are the owner of the stated email address and that you wish to receive the newsletter. This data is only used by us for sending the requested newsletter and will not be passed on to any third party. We may collect further data on a voluntary basis with the sole purpose of improving this newsletter offer.

Data protection notice on the use of Matomo

This website uses the open-source web analytics service Matomo, which is operated on IÖR's own servers. No data is transmitted to third parties. Matomo is configured so that no cookies are set and IP addresses are anonymised before storage. Do Not Track settings of the browser are respected. Identification of individual persons is not possible.

Integration of OpenStreetMap

On some pages of this website we embed map sections from the OpenStreetMap service. The provider is the OpenStreetMap Foundation (OSMF), St John's Innovation Centre, Cowley Road, Cambridge, CB4 0WS, United Kingdom. When loading a page with an embedded map, a connection to the OpenStreetMap servers is established and your IP address is transmitted. Integration of softgarden

On our career pages we use the applicant management system softgarden. The provider is softgarden erecruiting GmbH, Tauentzienstraße 14, 10789 Berlin, Germany. When accessing the relevant pages, a connection to softgarden's servers is established and your IP address is transmitted. The service is used for managing job postings and application procedures. Integration of DVB Journey Planner

On our contact page we embed an interactive journey planner provided by Dresdner Verkehrsbetriebe AG (DVB). The provider is DVB AG, Trachenberger Straße 40, 01129 Dresden, Germany. When the page loads, a connection to DVB's servers is established and your IP address is transmitted. The integration serves to facilitate travel to our institute by public transport.
