The Interdisciplinary Centre for Transformative Urban Regeneration (IZS) sees itself as a real-world laboratory for sustainability at the interface between science and practice. Together with players in urban and regional development, it develops and tests new solutions for the far-reaching change towards more sustainability. Real-world laboratories are opening their doors across Germany during a week of action. The IZS in Görlitz is also taking part and is inviting interested parties to its premises on Gottfried-Kiesow-Platz next to St Peter's Church on 1 July from 4 p.m.
Under the heading "Transforming the city and the region sustainably together!", the IZS team will provide an insight into its work. There will also be an opportunity to talk to the researchers and representatives from partner organisations.
The "Testing the City" project series will be presented, as well as the TRUST project, from which the "Future Görlitz" (Zukunft Görlitz) initiative emerged, which is committed to sustainable and lively urban development.
