Visions for transformative change - apply now for PhD scholarships at the DLGS

The Dresden Leibniz Graduate School (DLGS) is looking for young researchers who would like to gain further qualifications in the field of spatial sustainability sciences.

The new study group of the international graduate school will start in March 2023 on the topic "Beyond 2030: Envisioning sustainable and resilient places for transformative change". Applications are open to international graduates with an excellent Master's degree in a field relevant to the study of spatial sustainability transformations.

The DLGS welcomes innovative research projects that focus on the long-term future of places beyond 2030 and contribute to their sustainable and resilient design. The critical analysis of the current discourses, policies, or practices on the topic is also a significant aspect. Likewise a criterion is to enable participation in the realization and the integration of an environmentally conscious future. Inter- and transdisciplinary approaches are explicitly encouraged. DLGS fellows can compose their research projects – in line with the DLGS programme – according to their own interests and competences.

Application deadline: 1 September 2022
