RAINMAN: Final Conference on 6 May cancelled

Due to the current developments in the Coronavirus outbreak, the RAINMAN Final Conference planned for 6 May 2020 is cancelled.

The hosts and project partners, including the IOER, strive to organise a corresponding final event at a later date, possibly in an adapted form.

Background

Considering increasing risks of heavy rain events, authorities at all levels must act - especially local authorities. To do so, they should know how to analyse the hazards of heavy rain events and reduce risks accordingly. Partners from six countries have jointly developed and tested tools and methods for this purpose. They are expected to be available online as a "RAINMAN toolbox" from May 2020. Responsible persons in municipalities and authorities can then use them.

The RAINMAN project are part-financed by the EU in the framework of the European Regional Development Fund under the CENTRAL EUROPE programme.
