Interactive Map - Cross-Border Analysis of Landscape Fragmentation in the Saxon-Bohemian Switzerland

 

For analysing the landscape fragmentation in the Saxon-Bohemian Switzerland the following maps were used:

1995

Digital vector data, German authoritative topographic cartographical information system (ATKIS; 1:25.000), German and Czech Survey Maps (Topographic Map 1:10.000 and 1:25.000)

1940

Survey Maps (Messtischblätter; 1:25.000), Map of the German Reich (1:100.000)

1900

Survey Maps (Messtischblätter; 1:25.000), Map of the German Reich (1:100.000)


There are adequate historical maps available for the other project areas, like the Military Survey Maps of Austria-Hungary, Prussian Survey Maps and other national topographic maps.

 

The landscape fragmentation (size of unfragmented areas) was calculated based on the following fragmenting elements:
