Spatial Science Colloquium 2025 on questions of socio-ecological transformation

Under the heading "Excessive Change?", this year's Spatial Science Colloquium (RWK2025) is dedicated to new departures and old contradictions of socio-ecological transformation. The Leibniz Research Network “Spatial Knowledge for Society and the Environment – Leibniz R”, of which the IOER is a member, is hosting the event in Berlin on 26 and 27 June.

The colloquium will focus on the question: How can we create new momentum for transformation, both at the local level and on a larger scale? National and international experts from academia, practice, politics and administration, as well as media representatives and and anyone else who is concerned with change are cordially invited to the event on 26 to 27 June 2025 in Berlin.

The event will be held partly in German and partly in English. Participation is free of charge.

Background
The Spatial Science Colloquium is hosted by the Leibniz Research Network Spatial Knowledge for Society and Environment – Leibniz R. It deals with strategic spatial science issues of overarching importance for an interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary professional audience. In 2023, for the first time, the colloquium will also be accessible to international participants as an online format.
