I investigate the local and spatial dimensions of globally produced inequalities. Departing from a critique of the ecological modernization discourse, I analyze the impacts of resource overconsumption in informal and segregated urban areas, and explore procedural and redistributive justice scenarios for a just transition towards sustainability.
